Syeda Maliha Reza

Syeda Maliha Reza is a researcher in the field of Electronics and Nanotechnology at the University of Dhaka, where she is completing her B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a CGPA of 3.79/4. Her academic foundation is built on specialized coursework in Solid State Physics, Nanoelectronics, and Materials Science, which she has applied through her role as a Research Assistant at the Microsystems and Nanoengineering Laboratory. In this capacity, she has gained extensive experience in synthesizing and characterizing materials such as graphene and zinc oxide nanoparticles using high-level techniques like SEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy, while also mastering the use of Vector Network Analyzers and laser-induced fabrication. Her research contributions are highlighted by several peer-reviewed publications and innovative projects focused on practical engineering solutions. She has co-authored work on annealing-induced optimization of ZnO nanoparticles for sustainable agriculture in Nanoscale Advances and developed low-cost microwave sensors for glucose monitoring in the IEEE Journal of Electromagnetics RF and Microwaves in Medicine and Biology. Additionally, her work extends to electrochemical sensing and water purification, having been a core member of the IEEE SIGHT Project BeShuddho and achieving local championship honors in the 2022 NASA Space App Challenge.
