This project focuses on the development of a groundbreaking Flexible, Stretchable, and Single-molecule-sensitive SERS-active sensor. This innovative sensor utilizes gold nanoparticles on a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate to achieve flexibility, stability, transparency, and biocompatibility.

The sensor demonstrates an exceptional SERS Enhancement Factor of approximately 10^11, surpassing previous limits, while maintaining a high scattering-to-absorption ratio and a large hotspot volume.

Numerical calculations confirm the sensor’s reliability in providing robust SERS performance even when subjected to bending or stretching. This research represents a significant advancement in the field of SERS applications, opening new possibilities for sensitive and reliable bio-analyte detection.
